Mark Kreder - Cast
Mark has been acting on stage, screen, and in VO since graduating from the University of Windsor’s BFA program in 2014. He is thrilled to be here in Ottawa, working with such a wonderful group of artists. He would like to thank Melissa for being such an amazing partner and Anneliese for being the best daughter ever. Without their support, he wouldn’t be able to do what he loves.

Erin Eldershaw - Cast
Erin Eldershaw is an award-winning Ottawa-born actor, fight director, dancer, speech coach, teacher, and new mom, who is thrilled to be joining a Company of Fools for their 2025 season! Selected credits: Buying the Farm (Upper Canada Playhouse), Heart’s Home; Bonds of Interest (Odyssey Theatre), Falling for Look Lodge (Marvista Entertainment - film), The Anger in Ernest & Ernestine (GCTC - choreographer), and Macbeth (a Company of Fools - fight choreographer).

Maryse Fernandes - Cast
Maryse Fernandes has performed in Ottawa with The Great Canadian Theatre Company (The Anger in Ernest & Ernestine, The Supine Cobbler, Heartlines), a Company of Fools (Hamlet, Love From Afar), Odyssey Theatre (Servant of Two Masters, The Bonds of Interest), NAC English Theatre (The Cartographers), and is a core member of Ottawa's award-winning physical theatre company, APLOMBUSRHOMBUS. Maryse is a proud graduate of Canterbury HS and a drop-out of The National Theatre School of Canada.

Drew Moore - Cast
Drew is stoked to be rejoining the Fools! Past GCTC credits include: The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine, Forever Young, This is War. Other credits include: Fall on Your Knees (Canadian Stage, Neptune, NAC,Grand,) A Few Good Men (Drayton) The Children of the Bear (Outside the March) Film: Vicious (Paramount Pictures). Drew grew up on the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe and is a graduate of the NTS.

Laura Del Papa - Cast
Laura Del Papa, hailing from Montreal, is a "Franglophone" actor with experience in song, dance, mask work and puppetry. She is thrilled to be making her debut with a Company of Fools this summer! Select credits include: Gaslight, Liars at a Funeral, A Christmas Carol (Magnus Theatre), Ghost - The Musical (Starvox Entertainment), and The Mask Messenger (Faustwork Mask Theatre). Much love and thanks to mum, family, and friends.

Jacqui du Toit - Cast
Jacqui du Toit is a multi-award-winning actor, International storyteller, puppeteer, dancer and playwright. Jacqui has performed with The Ottawa Little Theatre, Rock the Arts children’s puppet company, the Niyamah Collective, a Company of Fools, and Ottawa StoryTellers. Jacqui holds a degree in Theatre and Performance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is co-owner of The Origin Arts Community Centre and Creative Director and Storyteller at 8thGeneration Storytelling Performance.

Patrick Gauthier - Director
Patrick Gauthier is an Ottawa-based director and playwright, whose recent directing credits include Mr. Burns, a post-electric play (Drama Guild), The Visit (GCTC Lawyer Play), Exciting Cause (TACTICS), and @TheMayor (Gruppo Rubato) – for which he received the 2022 Prix Rideau Award for Outstanding Direction. Patrick is a member of CAEA and the Playwright’s Guild of Canada, and holds an MFA in Directing for the Theatre from the University of British Columbia.

Andrea Steinwand - Set & Props Designer
Andrea Steinwand (she/they) is a Rideau Award-winning, Ottawa-based set designer, scenic artist, and instructor. They earned a BFA from the University of Alberta and have worked for theatres and companies across Canada since 1999. She has also taught scenic art at Banff Centre. Locally, they have worked as a designer for Spicy Day, TACTICS at GCTC, Three Sisters, and on last year's Fools production of Macbeth.

Vanessa Imeson - Costume Designer
Vanessa Imeson is an award-winning Theatre Artist. She holds a combined BA H in Dramatic Art and English from UofW, MFA in Theatre Design from UBC and diploma for Makeup Design for Film and Television from VFS. She designs costumes, make-up, wigs and puppets for a variety of collegiate programs and professional theatre companies across Canada and the US while simultaneously acting as Head of Wardrobe for the GCTC. David daCostca - Composer
David is an Ottawa-based composer and songwriter, and a 2023 graduate of Sheridan’s Music Scoring for Screen & Stage program. He has a rich background in theatre as well, and being able to combine his love of music with summer theatre are truly two of his favourite things. Abigaile Gagnon - Stage Manager
Abigaile is so excited to be returning to a Company of Fools for this amazing show! Abigaile is an Ottawa-based stage manager, pervious credits include: Seussical (1000 Islands Playhouse/St Lawrence College), Perfect Wedding (Cow Patti Theatre Company), One Small Misstep (Ottawa Undercurrents), Miracle on 34th Street (Upper Canada Playhouse), Sequence (1000 Islands Playhouse), Macbeth (a Company of Fools), Goodnight Desdemona Good Morning Juliet (GCTC). 

Our pre-show touch tour initiative offers opportunities for our low-vision or blind patrons to partake in a tactile exploration of our set, props, and costume pieces. If you or someone you know is blind or low vision and would benefit from a more robust introduction to our show, please email our fabulous partners at accessibleartsottawa@gmail.com for more information. The touch tour takes place from 5:30pm - 6:30pm before our performances, and we encourage participants to bring a picnic as the actors prepare for the show between 6:30pm - 7pm.

The Fools are offering 2 pre-show Touch Tours for The Comedy of Errors: Monday, July 21 at Strathcona Park and Wednesday, July 30 at Westboro Kiwanis Park (next to Dovercourt Community Centre). Touch Tours run beside the performance space from 5:30-6:30PM and will be led by Director Patrick Gauthier and Artistic Director Kate Smith.
